It’s been a while since we highlighted some of our favorite virtual adventures, and with the time we have on our hands, we wanted to suggest a few new adventures you could start right from the comfort of your couch. We aren’t viewing these as replacements for the real trips and adventures we would have visiting some of these locations, but a way of seeking out new experiences and hopefully giving you a taste of what they could be like. As we find ourselves largely homebound, it is a good time to evaluate the importance of travel to our livelihood. From what it has meant to us in the past, to what it will mean to us as things normalize; what adventures will we seek when we can once again feel the freedom of venturing throughout the world.
Today, we’re using travel to distract us a bit from the day to day routines we are lapsing into in the much smaller world of our homes, and to use the technologies and media to our advantage to visit the world virtually. So for your digital travel adventures over the next few weeks, let us suggest a few of the best virtual experiences we’ve found recently, and hopefully we’ll all be able to see them in person soon!

  • Smithsonian Channel Has Released 68 Free ‘Aerial America’ Episodes - Do some armchair traveling and see the breathtaking vistas of all 50 states while learning about their histories
  • 12 Virtual Disneyland Rides That You Can Enjoy At Home Without A FASTPASS - Thanks to the internet, a Disneyland day is closer than you might think.
  • Google Arts and Culture - Museums from Around the World
  • This Virtual Tour of the Carlsbad Caverns Will Entertain You (and Your Kids) for Hours (Video)
  • Wondrous Museums You Can Visit From Your Couch Right Now
Your living room is the perfect place to see the world.

  • Disney, Kennedy Space Center offering free online activities for kids during school closures
  • Virtual Field Trips:
    • The Anne Frank House
    • Buckingham Palace
    • Great Wall of China
    • Holy Land Tour
    • The Louvre
    • Mount Everest
    • Mount Vernon
    • The Statue of Liberty
It’s a big world and it breaks our hearts not being able to go out and see it all right now, but we loved all of these experiences and right now they really hit the spot. If you’re thinking about traveling in the near future or anytime during 2021, give us a call! Travel restrictions are changing daily and we want to do everything we can to help with any uncertainties you may have. Give us a call or send an email today so we can help get you busy livin’!
Safe travels as always,
Dan
